2012–2017
Straight out of school into a job and a degree at the same time, which at 18 sounded cleverer than it felt at 19. The job was insurance: if you held a policy in Germany, some of the machinery under it was mine. I made the nightly batch runs 80% faster.

A semester abroad came up. I picked the one furthest from home.
2014
Learned proper English. Languages are not my talent, so it took work. Game theory was the favourite subject. Mostly I learned about people, culture and myself, none of which were on the syllabus.

Came back, finished the degree, went full-time.
2018–2019
Advertising. The ads people scroll past. I built the plumbing underneath. Cut what it cost to ship by 90%.

I asked to go. Our teams were spread across countries, and someone had to pull them together. That was the reason I gave.
2019–2020
Same company, new country. Building a team in a city you have never lived in teaches you more than the job does.

Then Switzerland. For the kind of system where mistakes are expensive.
2020–2021
Swiss finance. 500,000 contracts moved in a single night. Nobody noticed. That was the point.
AKROS AG
Back to Germany, and eventually to Düsseldorf. Freight this time.
2022–2023
“Where is my parcel?” That system, for a global freight company. I kept it standing.
Kühne + Nagel (Hamburg, remote)
Stopped being paid to write the code. Started being responsible for the number at the bottom.
2023 –
Partner. Grew it from just me into a team that does not need me. That was the point. It keeps running whether I am in the room or not.

Time for the next thing, further away. Some of the reasons are business. Some of them are not.
09/2026
A new company, products this time. The plan: I do the architecture, AI does the building, and the calls that need a human stay human. Mostly. Ask me in a year.
